1. If no water feel or ran into the Atlantic Ocean, it would take about 400 years for it to dry up. 2. The ocean is about 2,000 feet deep on average, but it is as far as 30,000 feet deep near Puerto Rico. (Atlantic Ocean). 3. If all the ice in the world would melt, the oceans would rise about 200 feet. 4. If the ocean would rise 3 feet, that would push the shoreline back about 100 feet. 5. Some of the tops of mountains in the Atlantic Ocean are the Azores. 6. The Pacific Ocean gets its name from being usually calm. Pacific means (Peaceful). 7. The deepest part of the Pacific Ocean is the Mariana Trench. It is 36,198 feet deep. Between 6 and 7 miles. 8. The Pacific Ocean is the largest on Earth. It covers about 30 percent of the Earth. 9. The Atlantic Ocean is the second largest ocean on the Earth. It covers It covers about 20 percent of the Earth's surface. 10. The Indian Ocean is the third largest ocean on Earth. 11. The Arctic Ocean is the smallest of all the oceans on the Earth. It lies mostly above the Arctic Circle (66.5° N). 12. Oceans are a vital part of the weather and climate. They absorb much CO2 and help protect the planet, however, over the years the oceans have become more acidic.
