GCA: Ground Control Approach.
Geostrophic Wind:A straight line wind that moves parallel to the isobars on a surface chart or the contours on an upper air chart.
Glaciers: Glaciers cover about 10% of the Earth's surface.
Glaciers: If all the glaciers would melt there would be a rise of about 200 feet in the oceans.
Glaze: A very dangerous clear and smooth coating of ice formed on trees, fences, cars, roads, etc when the temperature is below freezing.
Global Water Budget: Global water budget is the relationship between input and output of water throughout the globe. The amount of water on the earth has been constant over the centuries. You can neither add water (moisture) or take water away from the earth. Most of the earth's water is in the oceans. About 75%. Moisture (water) moves about the earth in the Hydrological Cycle.

GOES: Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite.
Gradient Wind: A curved wind in the atmosphere.
Graupel:Snow pellets or small hail.
Gravity: A downward force on a object.
Gravity Force:Gravity Force is strongest at the poles.
Ground Fog: Fog that forms at ground level and does not reach the base of the clouds.
Ground Water: Water within the earth.
Gulf Stream: The Gulf Stream is a current of water which flows out from the Gulf of Mexico between Floriday and Cuba. It travels along the east coast of the United States.
Gust: A quick change in wind speed.
Gust Front:The leading edge of a thunderstorm.
